Youth sports participation is on the decline
Only 54% of youth aged 6-17 participated in organized sports, down from 58.4% in 2017. This decline is even more pronounced in rural communities, where limited access to facilities and coaching resources poses significant barriers. Studies have shown that children in rural settings often have less access to youth sports due to a lack of programming and transportation challenges.
We built SpeedEdge to change that.
Our mission is to provide every athlete—regardless of location or resources—the opportunity to train effectively and reach their full potential. With just a phone, a set of cones, and a small space, Speed Edge delivers elite-level speed training directly to athletes, breaking down the traditional barriers of geography and facility access.
We believe:
-
Talent should be nurtured, not limited by geography.
-
Every child deserves access to high-quality training.
-
With the right tools and dedication, athletes can achieve greatness anywhere.
Speed Edge exists to level the playing field. Because every athlete deserves a fair shot at success, no matter where they come from.
